Cape Town’s hotel scene continues to grow, with new stays across the city centre, the Atlantic Seaboard and communities such as Khayelitsha, each offering the warm hospitality for which the Mother City is known.
So, if you’re planning a Cape Town trip or just looking to enjoy a staycation, here are some new accommodation spots worth checking out:
InterContinental Table Bay Cape Town

One of Cape Town’s most recognisable hotels has undergone a major makeover and officially reopened its doors earlier this year.
The former Table Bay Hotel has reopened as InterContinental Table Bay Cape Town following an 18-month redevelopment worth more than R1 billion. It is now Cape Town’s first InterContinental hotel and has been repositioned as a major luxury property on the V&A Waterfront. The hotel now offers 306 appointed guestrooms, including 40 suites, each designed to maximise natural light, panoramic views and residential comfort. Club InterContinental offers an elevated experience with exclusive lounge access, personalised service and spectacular waterfront vistas.
It also features a state-of-the-art Fitness Studio, SPA InterContinental, an elevated pool terrace, reimagined public spaces, and a refined collection of restaurants and bars, including Le Bistrot de JAN, Flint & Fennel Restaurant, The Botanist’s Table, and Solandra Pool Deck.

The property offers three luxury standard rooms and two larger presidential suites. The latter feature freestanding oval baths, while the standard rooms have en-suite bathrooms, and some offer access to a private patio.
