Cape Town Funny Festival

The Funny Festival has become a “Celebration of Winter in Cape Town” – a comedic tonic showcasing the best of the South African talent. The international performers are joined by local entertainers Robby Collins, Kagiso Mokgadi, Alan Committie, Tumi Morake, Dalin Oliver, Emo and Loukmaan Adams, The Big Boys and the winner of the Funny Festival’s talent search, The JIVE Funny Championship. Diepe Grond Exhibition

House Union Block in Cape Town presents Diepe Grond – an extract – a compelling exhibition curated by Liza Grobler (running throughout June into July). This multisensory experience, in which the Karoo landscape becomes the protagonist, questions the boundaries we construct between ourselves, nature and others, inviting viewers to step through portals between fact and fabrication, much like the shifting terrain of the Karoo itself.
