Table View

Teeming with plenty of indoor and outdoor activities, visit the picturesque suburban neighbourhood of Table View, named after its breathtaking views of our iconic mountain.

Explore, experience, and indulge in a torrent of places to see and things to do in the bustling Table View area.

Table View Beachfront

This area is a constant hubbub of activity throughout the year. Grab delicious food and enjoy live entertainment from the restaurants and pubs lining the beachfront. Or find bespoke handcrafted carved animals, freshly brewed coffee or homemade ice cream vendors parked along the shore.

Each year Table View beach attracts crowds of amateur and pro kiteboarders and surfers from all over the world, hoping to score epic wind and waves delivered by this coastline.

Alternatively, join joggers, walkers, skateboarders, and e-bike riders zipping along the beachfront walkway.

If you’re looking for a place to stay in Table View, you’ll find plenty of options to suit any budget. B&Bs, apartment complexes, self-catering, and backpackers (or hostels) are in abundance. If you’re planning to visit in the summer, booking in advance is essential.

Nearby Activities

Escape into the Rietvlei Wetlands on a canoe, water ski or sailing boat and experience an outdoor enthusiast paradise hidden in a quiet seaside suburb. Bird lovers grab your gear and see if you can spot pelicans, flamingos and exotic birds inhabiting these incredible marshes.

Spend the day splashing at Milnerton Waterpark. Featuring waterslides, twirling super tubes and play areas for the little ones, you’d never want to leave this water paradise. Get there early as the park fills up fast.

Visit the Cape Town Ostrich Ranch. With over 220 birds ranging from one-day-old chicks to 20-year-old breeding couples, enjoy informative tours and an interactive ostrich show while you’re there. Authentic high-quality leather goods are also for sale at the curio shop.

Take flight with a microlight scenic adventure over the Table View landscape. Soar over land and sea while your pilot points out schools of dolphins, whales and Table Mountain. Alternatively, jump into the pilot’s seat and learn to fly with private lessons.

Visit one of the three major shopping centres in the area: Table Bay Mall, Table View Shopping Centre and Bayside Mall. Here, you can wander a vast offering of clothing shops to outlets for jewellery, electronics, furniture and décor.
