Southern Sun The Cullinan is pulling out all the stops during the Cape Town Cycle Tour weekend to ensure cyclists and guests staying at the hotel enjoy a memorable stay.
If you’re checking into the hotel during the Cape Town Cycle Tour weekend, here’s what to expect:
The Price
Guests who check in to Southern Sun The Cullinan from 10-12 March will pay R2450 per night and includes breakfast.
Bicycle Storage
The hotel has a dedicated, enclosed and secure access-controlled area for the storage of guests’ bicycles in parking level B1. Each guest’s arrival pack includes a “drop” sheet for those who prefer to keep their bicycle in the room. They can communicate their storage requirements during check-in.
Freezer Facilities For Drink Bottles
Freezer facilities for drinks bottles will also be available. Guests can drop their bottles at the Concierge Desk on Saturday between 8am to 10pm and collect on Sunday between 4am to 06:30am. Guests must mark their bottles with their room number and desired collection time.
Bicycle Service
The hotel is also offering a bike service during the weekend. The mobile bicycle workshop will be set up in the lobby on Friday and Saturday from 8am to 6pm and on Sunday from 6am to 1pm. Here, knowledgeable technicians will provide guests with quality bike service and repairs. Service fees will apply.
Food Fit For Cyclists
Southern Sun The Cullinan will also host a special pre-race “loading” dinner buffet at the Peach Tree Restaurant on the Mezzanine Level on Saturday night. Cyclists can indulge in a high-carb meal at a discounted rate of R225 per person (R280 for other guests). All they need to do is present their race number to qualify.
On race morning, the participants can take advantage of the energy grab-and-go breakfast station in the lobby from 4am.
Pamper Time and Swimming
For cyclists who want some pamper time after the race, qualified spa therapists will provide foot, calf and hand massages around the pool between 10am to 4pm. Massages are on a first-come, first-served basis, so guests need to arrive early to secure their spot.
The heated swimming pool is also open from 6am to 6pm all weekend.
Transport
A shuttle service will transport guests between Southern Sun The Cullinan and the Cape Town Stadium for registration on Friday, 10 March 2023, and Saturday, 11 March 2023.
The shuttle will run every hour, from 10am to 5pm on Friday and from 9am to 2pm on Saturday. Guests can get detailed information about pickup and drop-off points from the Concierge Desk.
