Arderne Gardens 

The Arderne Gardens, home to over 400 trees have, for generations, been a place for Capetonians to unwind and get lost in nature. Here, you will find one of South Africa’s most impressive collections of exotic trees. Towering above them all is one of the largest trees in South Africa, Moreton Bay Fig, lovingly known as the “Wedding Tree,” and a record-breaking Aleppo Pine, possibly the largest of its kind in the world. These giants, along with several others, earned Champion Tree status in 2008, a title only the most extraordinary trees can claim. Entry is free.
