If you consider yourself a wine connoisseur, a curious wine drinker, or an avid food and wine enthusiast, then Stellenbosch Street Soirees is worth adding to your bucket list.
Aimed to showcase the stellar town of Stellenbosch, Street Soirees allows everyone to fully immerse themselves in the food and wine offerings while meeting new people.
The town, famed for its hospitality, restaurants and accommodation, classic style and urban appeal, will once again attract hundreds of visitors during the event, which takes place from 1 and 15 February and again on 1 and 15 March 2023.
The festivities commence from 6pm to 8pm at Drostdy Street.
Visitors can expect 25 and 30 wineries showcasing their blends and wine tastings set among towering oaks. There’s also delectable street food from local purveyors, including renowned chef Bertus Basson’s De Vrije Burger. Smooth and contemporary music will play all evening.
The event, launched in 2011, has grown over the years, attracting a slew of local and international visitors.
Stellenbosch Wine Routes manager Elmarie Rabe recommends guests take advantage of the evening by dining at one of the many restaurants or wine bars within walking distance.
