Breathe in the fresh ocean breeze with an early morning stroll along the popular promenade. Health and fitness enthusiasts can pick up the pace with a jog, run or cycle session along this scenic stretch of coastline. Or work up a sweat at the outdoor gym along the way.

Kayak across the blue Atlantic Ocean or jet along the picturesque promenade on a hired electric scooter.

Go for a refreshing swim in a 50m Olympic-sized pool at the Sea Point Pavilion. This facility also features a springboard diving pool and two kid-friendly splash pools.

Pack your swimsuit and picnic basket for a day on Milton Beach. Wander along the shoreline, swim in the tidal pool or enjoy a spine-tingling Cape Town sunset.

For the little ones, there are play parks along the promenade and sprawling lawns for fun ball games.

Eat and Drink

All-day brunch establishments, espresso bars and hole-in-the-wall eateries serve quick, light, and nutritious meals. Or indulge in a world-class dining experience with beautifully crafted meals crafted by top-class chefs at high-end restaurants. These elegant establishments have stunning ocean views and vistas of the vibrant Prom.

Food options range from mouth-watering vegan meals to à la carte menus, informal Japanese gastropubs, hearty Mediterranean-style dishes, sumptuous Italian fare and much more.

Most of the beachfront hotspots are also great for sunset meetups and colourful cocktails. Grab a seat under palm trees, on an outside deck, rooftop terrace or sea-facing veranda while sipping your refreshing aperitif.

Go shopping on Regent Street, visit the local shopping centres, or pop in at the various thrift and boutique stores.

Mojo Market is an indoor lifestyle and food market that showcases 45 designer retail establishments and 25 food booths.

Discover the world of scuba diving. Learn the basics or take to the open water with an instructor. Snorkel or dive with seals and swim with sevengill cow sharks or blue sharks. Or book a reef dive and explore the underwater kelp forests in the area.
