Peddle on the Promenade

Cycling along the seafront is an excellent way to exercise while savouring Sea Point’s ocean views. Located at the Pavilion, Up Cycles offers a range of different bikes to hop on, from bright orange Dutch-style bicycles to kid-friendly wheels for the little ones. Up Cycles also offers child seats for toddlers and carriages for two small children.

Grab an Ice Cream at Icezeit

If you’re looking for a place to tuck into an ice cream, then Icezeit Cafe “iz” worth checking out!

Icezeit has been serving delicious gelato to locals and visitors since 2007.

With their traditional Italian flare for ice cream making and over 50 ice cream flavours to choose from, visitors to this local gem can expect delicious cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere.

Workout at an Outdoor Gym

Calling all weightlifting pros, cardio queens and bodyweight bandits, you can enjoy a free workout at Sea Point’s outdoor gym. This open-air fitness playground has a wide variety of equipment designed to get your heart racing, muscles flexing, and endorphins flowing in no time. 

It’s ideal for those who want to socialise while ticking those fitness goals.

Have a Fun Day at Mouille Point Adventure Playground

Enjoy an array of outdoor thrills for the whole family at Mouille Point Adventure Playground, located adjacent to the Mouille Point Lighthouse. This well-maintained safe space has an imaginative selection of colourful jungle gyms, slides and fortresses where kids can explore freely under the watchful gaze of their parents. Bring your bike, scooter or skateboard for sensational lap times on the circular track, or pack a lunch to enjoy with the entire family.

Capture an Iconic Sunglasses Selfie 

You may have seen the oversized, bronze-framed sunglasses during your stroll along the Promenade. The sunglasses, which pays homage to former president Nelson Mandela, is situated on a platform overlooking the ocean and is a beloved attraction for locals and visitors. Be sure to capture some selfies with the sunglasses, especially if you are visiting during sunset.

Get Competitive with a Game of Putt Putt 

Whether you’re going for a laid-back session or serious Tiger Woods-esque tee-offs, there’s plenty of fun for all ages at Putt Putt SA. The outdoor 18-hole Mini Golf course offers an easy orange course or a more challenging blue fairway.

The courses are littered with laugh-out-loud obstacles on a mission to crush your perfect putting game. Each round takes about 30-45 minutes to complete, depending on your skill level and banter.

The affordable rates draw large par-ties of eager putt putt players, so get there early.

All Aboard… A Tiny Blue Train 

Climb aboard, settle in and chug along a meandering track, taking in the sights of the beautiful surroundings at the Blue Train Park.

Once your journey comes to a stop, spend time with family and friends at the play park. Packed with activities, visitors here can bob up and down on see-saws, climb a rock feature or zoom down a 30m zipline.

Discover the Mouille Point Lighthouse 

Initially built to warn ships of the hazardous rocks and reefs off the coast of Cape Town, the eye-catching red and white candy-striped Mouille Point lighthouse attracts plenty of social media shutterbugs from all over the globe.

Standing at 21 meters (69 feet) tall with a range of 22 nautical miles (40 kilometers), this lighthouse is also home to the haunting sound of the foghorn, booming during misty weather conditions.

A must-see when in Sea Point!
