Marine Dynamics is an internationally recognised, award-winning shark cage diving and whale watching company in Gansbaai. Marine Dynamics is committed to the research and conservation of marine species and provides five-star educational and impactful shark encounters with marine biologists on board. Shark species that may be seen include white sharks, bronze whaler sharks, seven-gill sharks and rays.
We offer Marine Big 5 Tours throughout the year, emphasising whale watching during our southern right whale season, which takes place from mid-June to mid-November. Humpback whales and the more resident Bryde’s whales can also be seen around the Dyer Island ecosystem. Dyer Island is a sanctuary for seabirds with a population of endangered African penguins and over fifteen other seabird species. Thousands of Cape fur seals on Geyser Rock are a sight to behold when cruising through the famous Shark Alley, especially during pupping season around November. Look out for visiting dolphins too – you might see the endangered humpback dolphins, Indo-Pacific bottlenose, or perhaps a group of common dolphins.

Our trips depart from the Great White House, which offers a five-star comfortable meeting space with luxury bathrooms, a fully licensed restaurant and bar, coffee shop, gift shop, relaxing garden, secure and safe parking, accommodation, free Wi-Fi and a charging station. Additionally, dedicated hot showers are available at a nominal fee, underwater cameras are for sale, and free digital camera download facilities are available for our guests.
