Cape Point & The Flying Dutchman Funicular
The Flying Dutchman Funicular travels on a railroad on Cape Point, providing a novel and exciting way to travel and see the sights. From the bottom station, you will journey through dense foliage and fynbos to the upper lighthouse.
With 40 passengers per car and a length of 585m, you can always pitch up in large groups as you reach a height of 87m. At the lighthouse on the summit, you will be rewarded with simply breath-taking views of the Atlantic Ocean. The most recommended time to visit is at sunrise or sunset where the landscape turns into a surreal vista of beauty and charm. While it is reasonably far out from the city centre, there is so much to see along the way. Truly a drive to savour!
