Spring Festival: A Photo Exhibition

The South African Guide-Dogs Association for the Blind invites the public to experience Oubaitori: A Spring Festival & Photo Exhibition, a vibrant and family-friendly afternoon at The Palms, Sir Lowry Road, Woodstock, on Saturday, 30 August 2025, from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM.

Oubaitori is a Japanese concept that reminds us not to compare ourselves to others—just as cherry, plum, apricot, and peach trees bloom in their own time, each uniquely beautiful. This spirit of individuality and appreciation is woven throughout the festival, which combines art, music, and heartwarming experiences to support an important cause.

Guests can look forward to:

• A powerful photo exhibition capturing the bond between guide dogs and the people they assist
• Arts & crafts stalls featuring local makers
• Delicious food vendors to enjoy on the day
• Puppy cuddle sessions and lucky prize draws
• Live DJ entertainment and a welcome drink with every ticket

The event aims to raise R200 000 towards the training and care of guide, service, and autism support dogs.
