Full-Day Heritage, Faith & Cape Flats Community Tour

Make a Child Smile Today offers a powerful cultural immersion into Cape Town’s Coloured heritage, exploring Islamic and Christian roots, slavery, forced removals, and modern community life. Guests enjoy a traditional Cape Malay lunch and participate in meaningful community upliftment through direct food distribution. Manenberg was established by the apartheid government as a relocation area for Coloured families forcibly removed from District Six, Bo-Kaap, Claremont, Simon’s Town, Woodstock, Salt River, and Wynberg. More than its challenges, Manenberg is defined by its resilience, rich cultural identity, and community spirit. The tour includes visits to Bo-Kaap, the Auwal Masjid, the Slave Lodge, and the Sendinggestig Church, South Africa’s oldest indigenous mission church. Built in 1804, it served as a spiritual centre for enslaved people and their descendants. Every booking directly supports underprivileged families through community upliftment projects. SAFETY MEASURES IN PLACE!
