The Tyger Waterfront is a 23-ha area between Tyger Falls and South Gate precinct. Tyger Waterfront is a commercial and residential area located in the Tygervalley region, on the outskirts of Cape Town.

Tyger Waterfront is known for its lively, fun, and relaxed environment, as it is positioned near many attractions as well as being easily accessible to Cape Town’s major highway.

There are plenty of activities and things to do in and around the waterfront. Go for a leisurely walk or run around the facility. Water sports enthusiasts can try stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) and canoeing, too. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner at a wide range of restaurants or shop at the nearby Tygervalley Shopping Centre or the Willowbridge Lifestyle Centre.

species of reptiles. Golfers can tee off at The Golf Village, offering an 18-hole course complemented by scenic mountain views, while nature lovers can hit the hiking trails in the Tygerberg Nature Reserve.

ICYMI! @tablemountainca will temporarily close for annual maintenance from Monday, 28 July to Sunday, 3 August 2025.

During this time, all commercial activities at both the Upper and Lower Stations will be closed to the public.

Each year, the Cableway undergoes routine inspections and essential upgrades to ensure the system continues to operate to the highest international safety standards.

Hikers can still enjoy a trek up Table Mountain, with many routes and walkways accessible. However, all facilities at the summit and base stations will be closed during the shutdown.
