Zip Zap is a vibrant, uniquely South African social and professional circus. Our mission is to inspire and empower young people from all walks of life, to pursue their destinies through circus arts while promoting social cohesion, creating opportunities, unlocking potential and imparting life skills.
Our 9 impactful programmes - a full-time vocational training programme, 5 outreach programmes and 3 youth training programmes - benefit around 2500 youth annually. All programmes are offered free of charge to all participants and are designed to meet the diverse needs of our communities, with each programme tailored to suit different age groups, frequencies, and desired outcomes.

Zip Zap Circus is a registered NPO and has impacted in excess of 25 000 young lives since its inception in 1992, providing a safe space where children from diverse socio-economic backgrounds can come together to interact, dialogue and build a future across cultural and racial divides while having fun!

After more than 30 years of existence, Zip Zap Circus has grown into a recognised institution locally and internationally, interacting with networks in Europe, Africa and America, opening doors for exchange, collaborations, creation and employment.
