SANCCOB Seabird Centre Tour

SANCCOB is a registered non-profit organisation (NPO 003-134) whose primary objective is to reverse the decline of seabird populations through the rescue, rehabilitation and release of ill, injured, abandoned and oiled seabirds – especially endangered species like the African penguin.

SANCCOB’s Cape Town centre offers informative tours that are fun and educational for all ages and interests. Whether you wish to learn, watch a penguin waddle along, hear a seabird squawk, entertain visiting loved ones or are interested in a career in conservation, there is something for everyone to experience at our facilities.

No more than 10 people per family group and In-depth tours (2.5hrs) are differently priced and available on request.

Booking is essential and walk-ins for tours are only permitted if tour slots are not booked.

The organisation works closely with colony managers to identify birds in need of care in the wild and bring them to one of our two centres in South Africa: Cape Town (Western Cape) and Gqeberha.
