National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI)
The NSRI has 41 bases around South Africa’s coast, a fleet of 106 rescue craft, 30 rescue vehicles, 16 quad bikes and 13 tractors, as well as access to a number of helicopters. With these resources, the NSRI answers distress calls from individuals and craft both at sea and on inland waters, with dedication to face almost any weather conditions.
