This enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship will premiere at Artscape, Cape Town on Sunday, 15 August 2010 for a limited season. Thereafter the production moves to The Teatro at Montecasino in Johannesburg, opening on Friday, 02 October 2010. Mamma Mia! is musical entertainment for the whole family. Its broad appeal to audiences of all ages guarantees everyone at every performance will be “having the time of their lives”.
The 4th World Vintage Rugby Carnival 
Aug 29, 2010 - Sep 4, 2010. The 4th World Vintage Rugby Carnival will be staged in Cape Town, South Africa, the home of the Springboks the current world rugby champions – from August 29- September 4, 2010. The 7-day Carnival includes 3 playing days, two huge social functions, an exciting optional midweek trip and a comprehensive sightseeing and activity programme.
The Cape Carnival will provide the chance for teams, players and their partners to enjoy games in the Vintage Rugby style against teams from all over the world. It offers the opportunity for players over the age of 35 (two men’s sections - Over 35 and Over 46) to scrum, ruck and maul with their mates against rivals from around the world.
My Cape Town in the Company’s Garden

African Dance Classes @ The Rainbow Experience

JOU MA SE COMEDY CLUB @ THE RIVER CLUB 
Comedian Kurt Schoonraad has pioneered Jou Ma Se Comedy Club (JMSCC) to provide a regular reputable stand-up club for Cape Town’s laugh-craving populace and establish a support system for the industry.
Since the beginning of 2010, The River Club in Observatory (cnr of Liesbeek Parkway & Observatory Road) has been the home of the Jou Ma Se Comedy Club. Every Thursday comedy-lovers descend upon Players Café which has been a long time favourite amongst golfers and business people.
F.A.K. Songs and Other Struggle Anthems 
This is what the cabaret is about: Bambi’s extraordinary story of survival is told in song and sketch, her background echoed in familiar tunes, her inspirations gently mocked through canny impersonation. With Pieter-Dirk Uys as Bambi and with music arranged by Godfrey Johnson and performed by Bambi’s Bokkie Band, F.A.K. Songs and Other Struggle Anthems is performed in three languages. The band, led by Johnson on piano, consists of Heather Roth on flute and sax, Rayelle Goodman on violin, Mac McKenzie on guitar and Hilton Schilder on percussion.

1910-2010: From Pierneef to Gugulective 
This large exhibition, which occupies the entire Gallery, showcases the history and diversity of modern and contemporary South African art from the time of the formation of the Union of South Africa a century ago to the present.
The exhibition covers the period when modern South African art started to articulate itself in relation to the rest of the world. The selection, primarily from the Iziko South African National Gallery permanent collection is supplemented by works on loan from other public and corporate collections around the country.
