Grab the chance to Taste the Helderberg every winter in Cape Town – an annual festival aimed at foodie fiends and wine enthusiasts alike. For one night, wine farms and restaurants in the Helderberg region showcase their products at this hip and happening event.

Helderberg Cape Town

This annual showcase of excellent local wine and food, Taste the Helderberg is set to take place on Thursday, 29 August 2018. Be among the first to sample latest wine releases and some of the region’s best and then venture out to the farms to experience their provenance first-hand.

The venue

The 2018 Taste The Helderberg food and wine show take place at the Cavalli Estate in Somerset West. The Helderberg Mountain lies behind Somerset West and forms part of the Hottentots Holland range. With cool breezes blowing over from False Bay, the vineyards deliver unique flavours and complexities that are different from the warmer Stellenbosch valley.

The vibe

This year, you can also look forward to a food theatre and a mesmerising chocolate buffet installation. The chocolate buffet brings a new dimension to the traditional culinary offering of pop-up food stands, with the course prepared live, during the run of the evening. Guests are encouraged to do something purple in the spirit of this year’s theme colour. You can also participate in the event build-up on social media by following #DiscoverHelderberg.
