It’s a month since the Radisson RED at the V&A Waterfront hosted the inaugural World Koesister Day and crowned Asa Moos the best koesister maker in Cape Town and the love for her koesisters continues to grow.
Since winning, the 69-year-old has been doing very well. In addition to supplying the Radisson RED with the best koesisters in Cape Town, her home-based business has increased too.
Moos’s koesisters have been selling out every Sunday. The hotel has doubled their weekly orders to accommodate the high demand. Guests love the koesisters so they have become a great breakfast value-add for those staying at RED.
You have until November 2019 to taste the most delicious koesisters in Cape Town at the Radisson RED.

“The humble koesister has everything needed to bring about world peace…so why not support local and spread a little love where we can?!” says Radisson RED Head Chef Naseer Abdullah.
Moos, from Grassy Park, won prizes to the value of R15 000 donated by the Radisson RED Hotel, Vannie Kaap, Cape Town Tourism and the V&A Waterfront as well as the title of “kwaaiest koesister”. She is saving her hotel stay at the RED for a special occasion.
