More reasons to visit Zeits MOCAA

There’s no denying COVID-19 has put a damper on our usual fun-in-the-sun summer. With this in mind Zeitz MOCAA has changed their opening hours, extended exhibitions and gone digital so there’s no excuse not to live it up with amazing art and more.

Here are just a few reasons to visit Zeitz MOCAA this year.

Health and safety protocols

The world has changed and so has Zeitz MOCAA. In order to ensure your health and safety, your temperature will be taken on arrival, there are sanitisation stations throughout and only 50 people are allowed in the museum at any one time – which means it’ll feel like you have the space to yourself!

Audio guides are available on Soundcloud so you won’t need to share a device with anyone else.

It’s also easier to pay for admission and other purchases with contactless payment options.

Don’t forget: There’s a strict “No mask, no entry” policy.

Your favourite works – linger longer

With fewer people allowed inside the museum under COVID-19 lockdown Level 3 restrictions, they want to ensure everyone has a chance to enjoy the current exhibitions.

Home Is Where the Art Is, as well as Haroon Gunn-Salie’s Line In The Sand, Senzeni Marasela’s Waiting for Gebane and Alfredo Jaar: The Rwanda Project, have all been extended so you can spend time revelling in local works that examine issues of home, belonging and history.
