Lwandle Migrant Labour Museum

Learn about the incredibly harsh and horrific conditions that workers endured in what was an original hostel, built in 1958 with the establishment of Lwandle. Now mostly a residential area, the remaining block was opened as a museum on Workers’ Day in 2000 by poet and ex-resident Sandile Dikeni. You can meet members of the community as well as see the whole township on a guided walk.
