Cycling tours:

If you love cycling or simply exploring different communities in an unconventional way, come and explore the beautiful community of Khayelitsha on a bicycle and travel through some of its famous streets and iconic places.  You will also get an opportunity to taste local cuisine, visit local entrepreneurs and learn its history.  The tour includes water, a healthy lunch and the bicycle hire.

Tour duration: 4 Hours (9:00 – 13:00 & 13:30 – 17:30 ) and caters for a minimum of 2 guests.

The Tour features:

Lookout Hill: Located on the edge of Khayelitsha, the Lookout Hill is Khayelitsha`s tourism centre
Lookout point: Stand tall on the highest sand dune in the Cape flats as you learn about the history, population size, culture and diversity. This a 360 degrees view that shows you the vastness of Khayelitsha
 Khayelitsha Memorial Square: Asiyi eKhayelitsha We are not going to Khayelitsha.  In the Early 80`s people protested having to move to this once sandy, barren land by singing a song by the late Winston Mankuku titled Asiyi eKhayelitsha At the memorial square,  take a walk down memory lane and view mosaics artworks that depict this historical struggle of protest and resettlement.
Spinach King Cafe and restaurant: Africa`s first township healthy Cafe, the Spinach King Cafe is home to its famous spinach bread, spinach muffins, sandwiches and smoothies
Siki`s Koffee Cafe : Car garage at night and coffee shop during the day, Siki`s Koffee Cafe is one of the leading innovative coffee shops in Khayelitsha. With over 10 years working in the coffee industry, founder Sikelela Dlanga shares his love for coffee and entrepreneurship

Running/Jogging Tours:

A township experience is usually a walking tour or a taxi (minibus experience).  ABCD Travel invites you to jog through the streets of Khayelitsha. An interactive experience that will have you moving from the newest to the oldest areas in the community. This changes the way people experience life in the communities.  The meetup point is the Khayelitsha Mall, Walter Sisulu Rd, Khayelitsha.  The tour includes water/smoothie, breakfast at the Spinach Smoothie and Lunch.

Tour duration: 4 hours (7:30 – 11:30) and caters for a minimum of 2 guests.

The Tour features:

Lookout Hill and Lookout Point
Chumisa Primary School: Built in 1989 and opened in 1993, this is one of the oldest schools in Khayelitsha
A walk in the township: London is one of the busiest streets in P section, a township experience is not completed until you physically walk alongside the locals of the community
Spinach King Cafe

Nightlife Tour

Spend your night on the other side of Cape Town immersed in the township vibe and spend time dancing at local jams by local DJ`s.

The Tour features:

Spine Road walkabout that includes a party vibe with street vendors selling barbecue meat/ Tshisa nyama
