Mangwanani African Day Spa (Pty) Ltd was founded in 2002 by Ms Erin Limbert (CEO). The company has grown exponentially since then and now boasts 21 branches spread across South Africa, of which 3 are Flagship full-service spas. In addition, the company also sends out Nomadic Teams to service corporate clients, private events and the Safari Spa offering.
Mangwanani offers a unique sanctuary which may be enjoyed by couples, groups, individuals - men and women of all ages.
Previously disadvantaged women from local communities are given an opportunity to qualify with Mangwanani by receiving ongoing internal training that moulds them into qualified Mangwanani Therapists.
The company proudly boasts a collection of its own range of eco-friendly spa products, which are made from natural and naturally derived ingredients sourced from local communities that are supported by Fairtrade and Phytotrade.
The company has won the South African Spa of the Year award for nine consecutive years. In a recent development, Mangwanani Spa was chosen by KZN Tourism as one of the 5 Experiences they will be marketing and be recommending to tourists.
Mangwanani currently employs approximately 800 permanent and 600 seasonal staff, serving an average of 120,000 guests annually and offers its spa services in Cape Town and surrounds and the rest of South Africa.
