Community Woman Action Group

Born from tragedy to become a bastion of hope and empowerment, the Community Woman Action Group seeks to bring about economic sustainability and self-reliance to communities. This Cape women support group offers activities, learning programmes and has a fully-functioning venue with conference facilities and a coffee shop.

For the young and old at risk, music lessons are given which involve such disciplines as marimbas and belly dancing. The teachers are students from Stellenbosch University and UNISA who come from the areas where the people are being taught. Skills development programmes include the Assistant Chef Course as well as basic entrepreneurial training.
