Cape RADD

The Citizen Science Day at Cape RADD introduces a new way to experience the ocean environment.

Swim through lush kelp forests with playful seals, or alongside the prehistoric sevengill cow shark and show your sightings to your friends on the Cape RADD FishMap.  This engaging and educational activity is fun for the whole family.

Learn about the unique environment that makes Cape Town the fairest cape in the whole circumference of the globe and one of the world’s most biologically diverse ecosystems. Your observations of the fish and creatures of our shores become part of a unique record of marine life that helps the scientists predict the effects of climate change, monitor the impact of human development, and even discover new species.

Located in Simon’s Town, Cape RADD is just a short drive from the heart of Cape Town and the perfect half-day activity.
