WINK Café, a trendy, new eatery located in the financial district on the Foreshore at WINK Aparthotel, opened its doors on Thursday 10 December. Stylishly decorated and equipped with high-speed WiFi, WINK Café presents a cool, convenient space to have a zoom meeting over lunch, catch up with friends or grab something delicious to go if you’re in a hurry.
WINK Café is open daily from 07:00 to 15:00 serving those much-needed morning coffees, healthy lunches and decadent, sweet treats. The aparthotel and Café have also gone to great lengths to ensure all Covid health and hygiene protocols are adhered to.
Lauren Barnard, General Manager at WINK Aparthotels, says they wanted to create their own branded offering as an add-on for guests and locals to enjoy that echoes the fresh and contemporary facilities that WINK Aparthotel offers.
Plans are underway to open additional WINK Cafés at the various developments under the Flyt Property Investment portfolio which some might say is a daring move considering the timing; but Barnard says they are confident that this is indeed the right time where South Africans are supporting local more than ever, that tourism will kick in again soon and bring even more visitors from across our borders.
WINK Café, located at WINK Eaton Square in Diepriver, opened its doors last month and is proving to be a popular spot for the locals, tenants and visitors to the area. Construction of WINK Café at Quivertree, a new, mixed-use development in Stellenbosch, is also underway and will be opening next year for residents to enjoy. As a company that is committed to job creation in South Africa, the cafés have already secured 10 new positions with an estimated 20 additional posts opening up.
