The cellar tour will explain the process of wine making, and there will be ample opportunity for wine tasting. On your way back to Cape Town, visit the cheetah enclosure at Spier Wine Estate, where you are invited to stroke these beautiful big cats.Cape WinelandsHalf dayMorning (08h30 – 13h00)Afternoon (13h30 – 18h00)Visit Stellenbosch, a historic university town and centre of the Cape wine industry. Meander along Dorp Street with its fine old buildings and visit wine estates for tastings and cellar tours, ending your tour at the Spier Wine Estate cheetah enclosure.Peninsula TourFull day (08h30 – 17h30)Join our day-long tour through the fairest Cape in all the land. Travel through the upmarket suburbs of Clifton and Camps Bay, through Hout Bay, along the magnificent Chapman’s Peak Drive, before passing through the surfing villages of Kommetjie and Scarborough, as we head down to the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. After enjoying a trip to Cape Point Lighthouse and Nature Reserve, return via the penguin colony at Boulders Beach and the naval base at Simon’s Town. Pass through the seaside towns of Fish Hoek and Muizenberg, and the quaint village of Kalk Bay.Peninsula TourHalf dayMorning (08h00 – 12h30)Afternoon (13h00 – 18h00)Enjoy a half-day tour that follows a similar route to our full-day Peninsula Tour, but travelling across the peninsula from Kommetjie to the penguins at Boulders Beach, missing the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point Nature Reserve.Garden RouteThree daysLeave the Cape Peninsula behind as we head through Sir Lowry’s Pass and the Houw Hoek Pass and travel all the way to Mossel Bay, where the Garden Route begins. Green meadowlands, shimmering lakes, steep mountain passes, giant forests and white sandy beaches are interspersed by the beautiful holiday towns of Knysna, Wilderness, and Plettenberg Bay. For the adventurous, take a dive off the Bloukrans River Bridge, the world’s highest bungee jump, or try a zip line ride through the Tsitsikamma Forest.Township ExperienceHalf day (14h00 – 18h00)This walking tour through the Imizamo Yethu township in Hout Bay takes you to a local community centre, craft centre, and a typical shebeen. At least 90 minutes can be spent interacting with the children on a one-on-one basis by helping with homework, listening to reading, assisting with simple arithmetic, playing chess or draughts, or helping with soccer coaching.Your tell us!Take a trip to the West Coast National Park, with its spectacular carpet of flowers in the early spring, and Langebaan Lagoon, where watersport options abound, whether kayaking, keelboat sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, or deepwater fishing. Journey to the wilderness of the Cederberg to take in ancient rock art, tranquil mountain streams and giant rock formations. Travel to Hermanus in late winter or early spring to see southern right whales bask directly below the town’s cliffs, or go just a little bit further up the coast for some great white shark cage diving.
