Located on the south coast, a mere two hours drive from Cape Town, the small fishing town of Gansbaai is said to be the 'White Shark diving capital of the world'. This scenic section of coastline in Southern Africa offers ideal living conditions for the mighty Great White and is one of only a few places in the world where you can successfully observe them regularly and in their natural environment. Whilst Great White Sharks frequent most coastlines, this particular location is home to abundant wild life including a very large colony of Cape Fur seals, which provide ample hunting opportunities for the apex predator. Even with several boats in the water all geared up and ready to go, seats can still be a rare commodity so booking is essential.
