Day 2 After an overnight in the mountains we drive to the west coast visiting Lambert’s Bay, Elands Bay and Veldrif. These villages all have a unique atmosphere: one of traditional fishing and extensive marine and bird life. We overnight at Veldrif, where the Berg River enters the ocean. I did the 2 day tour through the winelands and to Cape Agulhas. Sadly the weather was against us getting out on the boat to see Whales but Rodger soon sorted out an alternative visit to a Lion park. I am a big fan of the Vinyards & having been previously a few years ago, Rodger made sure that he didnt take me to vinyards I had been to on my last trip - which was a nice tough. My favourite part of the trip - and pretty much the main reason I booked this trip, was to visit Cape Agulhas & see the most southern tip of Africa. The weather had picked up & it was glorious & stunning down there. As was the journey back to Cape Town following the coast. As I was on my own, he brought along his lovely wife for a bit more company. Being on a tight backpacker budget, I booked the hostel accommodation option. It was a great Hostel and the Braii for dinner was superb and excellent value at 75 rand. Rodger can however arrange mid or top end accommodation to suit the passengers requirements. I really enjoyed my 2 day trip and would recommend going with Rodger to anyone. His knowledge of the area, flora, fauna, history, culture was fantastic. Well worth the money and lovely to see a bit more than just the beautiful City of Cape Town.
I took the 2 day tour to the winelands and Cape Agulhas. We saw so much and such a variety of landscapes. I had only a short trip to Cape Town and this was a great way to pack in a variety of landscapes and activities in just two days. The drive through the winelands were breathtaking and we stopped at very interesting places to do wine tastings. We went to places that weren’t too touristy and really made you feel like you were off the beaten path. Cape Agulhas was my favorite because it didn’t feel touristy at all and was absolutely gorgeous. The drive back along the coast was also breathtaking. We made plenty of stops so I never felt like we were driving all day. The tour guide was very informative and was always willing to listen to our input and alter the tour upon request. Great trip and I would recommend it to anyone looking to see a little more of South Africa on their short trip to Cape Town.
Very good guide - I did the 1 day Waders,Whales, Walks and WIne tour. The tour fits in a lot comfortably. The highlight of course is the boat-based whale watching, which was phenomenal. Roger, the guide is very knowledgable. Thank you!
Roger Airey of See Cape Town Tours took us on a memorable 2 day trip of the Windlands and Cape Augulus. It was a very well planned and relaxing tour, and Roger was always most professional throughout. I would recommend See Cape Town Tours to anyone interrested in seeing the Augulus region.
Wonderful budget tour, exactly as advertised.
