Adventure and Activity Tours

One of the most unique places in the world - a penguin colony in suburban Cape Town! And the best way to see it is from the water. We meet at the town jetty in Simon's Town for a short introduction to paddling technique and a safety briefing. We then paddle out past the civilian and Naval Harbour where you get a bonus close up view of our biggest naval vessels and out to Boulder's Beach to see the penguins - and how better to see the famous penguins than from their own element. On the way we will normally encounter Cape Fur seals resting in kelp beds or next to the harbour wall. If the time and tide is right we will stop on a beach for a swimming break and will generally be able to get a close up look at penguins on the rocks nearby. The daily scheduled trip leaves at 8.30am summer season and 9.00am winter season - that’s when the weather is best. Peak summer season generally also has an 11am trip and often an afternoon trip as well. Our kayaks are designed for maximum stability in all conditions. No experience is necessary and it's no more taxing than hiking up a hill. Age is no barrier - anyone with full mobility from 10 upwards can do it. All trips are led by knowledgable and experienced professional guides.
