Roots Africa Tours was formed by Norman Mentor, Owen Jinka and Temba Mgobozi with a view to showing tourists what the new South Africa has to offer. After doing some research, the founders (who are all members of a disadvantaged community) realised that tourists were keenly interested in the new South Africa from a black person's perspective.Roots Africa Tours offers comfortable, guided tours in luxury, air-conditioned vehicles, led by South African Tourism-registered guides. Operating seven days a week, the company also offers various other options, including an overnight stop in Khayalitsha, a private touring service, a tailor-made itinerary to suit your specific needs and a 24-hour transfer service.
