Imvubu Nature Tours is a community-based tourism company established at Rondevlei Nature Reserve in April 2002 and is responsible for all tourism-related activities at the reserve. These include: the island bush camp; boat trips; guided nature walks; lecture conference centre and outdoor rustic conference centre.The owners, management and staff are all from the immediate area. This provides the local community with jobs and offers our clients a more personalised service. All catering is also supplied by one local community caterers. Where possible, all material, equipment and labour have been sourced locally.A percentage of our turnover is placed in the Zeekoevlei Environmental Education Programme Trust in order to further environmental education, specifically for the surrounding previously disadvantaged communities.Situated just 20 minutes’ drive from the city centre, Rondevlei offers a quiet and secluded alternative to the rush of city life, allowing Imvubu Nature Tours to provide guests with a different perspective on Cape Town.
