Since 1992, Daytrippers – The Bicycle People – has steadily grown into one of the leading alternative and adventure touring companies in the Western Cape.Our trips are a far cry from your average, mainstream bus tour in that we aim to keep our travellers out of the bus as much as possible, with activities such as hiking, biking, cruising, picnicking and swimming available on many of our tours.We run scheduled day trips to the Cape Peninsula, the winelands, the townships and Hermanus for the best land-based whale watching in the world. We make it our business to ensure that our guests have a day to remember, with expert guidance, healthy, homemade picnics prepared by our own catering team and plenty of the personal touch.We also run pure adventure trips. These include, mountain biking and Table Mountain hikes. Our specialty is bicycling and with over 200 bicycles and a range of custom-built bicycle trailers in our fleet, we are able to deal with groups of all sizes and can offer anything from a mellow half-hour cycle in the winelands or Cape Point to a vigorous three-hour off-road cycle in Grabouw Forest to a two-week cycle from Port Elizabeth to Cape Town. Or cycle from the Castle of Good Hope in Cape Town to the Banner of Good Hope in Soweto! You name it, we'll make it happen – a treasure hunt on bicycles; a three-day challenge in the Cedarberg Mountains; a mountain biking, 4x4ing, hiking combo; Table Mountain hike and bike ... whatever!Let us take care of your student groups from A-Z at a rate they can afford – itinerary planning, transport, accommodation, meals, educational excursions and adventure, all fully chaperoned by qualified and caring guides.
