Blue Rock Cable Waterski offers the only safe and watersport-friendly lake in the Cape. We have a diving academy that runs discover scuba diving and scuba courses, as well as cable waterskiing, wakeboarding, slalom and beginners' courses and a paintball course.

Blue Rock uses an overhead cable system with an electronic motor wich pulls skiers around the lake.
This system is safe, user- and enviromentally-friendly (using no petrol). Skilled water-ski instructors are always in attendance. You do not need to be of a paticular age, sporty or fit to do the skiing.
The only requirements is that you are able to swim.

Cable Waterski is a unique way to ski without the use a motorboat yet with the same feeling and experience.
Blue Rock Lake is the only clear water lake in the Western Cape with water temperatures reaching up to 26 degrees.Cable Waterski is a much more social sport as all your friends can watch you from up close unlike when you ski with a boat.

The only difference of Cable Waterski is the boat produces waves which you would use for height to do tricks where as with the cable you would use the tension of the rope.

The system can speed up so that you may barefoot on our cable, officially you would need a special request as the wakeboarding cannot run at the same high speed.
