Explore the city

Start your journey from the much-celebrated Victoria and Alfred Waterfront as the sun sets over Cape Town. Cycle through the historic harbour from the Marina Pier alongside the Atlantic Ocean as the sea breeze fills the air. Meander through Green Point and the delightful De Waterkant Village before passing Parliament and the presidential residence in the Company Gardens. Marvel at the iconic Cape Dutch architecture and make your way down vibrant Long Street, the heart of Cape Town's nightlife. Wind your way through the historic Malay quarter of Bo-Kaap past mosques and cobbled streets and top it all off with a glass of South African champagne as the sun sinks below the horizon in spectacular fashion! Fairest Cape Peninsula Tour

Savour the very best of the Cape peninsula on this unique guided cycle excursion. From the top of Signal Hill, we take in Lion's Head and the iconic Table Mountain as well as a bird's eye view of the Atlantic Ocean. We meander alongside the sea, through Camps Bay, Hout Bay Harbour and on to Chapman's Peak for a superb lunch spread. In the afternoon, we make our way to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, enjoying a guided cycle to Cape Point and short hike to the historic lighthouse, before making our way back along the eastern side of the peninsula and visiting the African Penguin colony at Boulders Beach!

NB: A back-up vehicle is available at all times should guests wish to take a break.

Khayelitsha Township Cycle | Half Day

People and culture

Velokhaya and Bike & Saddle have joined forces to bring you the Life Cycling Academy Tour which allows guests to experience South Africa's single largest township from the back of a bike. Guests can see the valuable work being done by Velokhaya in providing a much-needed recreational facility for children and learn about the history and heritage of Khayelitsha and its diverse range of communities.

NB: This tour can be expanded to include a visit to the world-famous Spier Wine Estate, where guests can enjoy a wine tasting and guided cycle (or heritage walk) in the reserve.

Cycle Safari from Cape Town

Nature and wildlife

A sensational day trip from Cape Town, that takes you into the rolling Winelands, through the majestic Du Toitskloof Mountain Range and on to a Private Game Reserve. With a qualified ranger, we cycle through a private reserve in the dramatic semi-desert, ancient Karoo landscape, spotting zebra, wildebeest, eland, springbok and much more, with your expert guide explaining the fauna and flora of the region. In the afternoon, we enjoy a gourmet lunch before taking a game drive through the Big Five Reserve (optional extra), including a visit to an animal rehabiliation centre, or we enjoy a scenic drive over mountain passes and a signature tasting at a family wine estate, before shuttling back to Cape Town.

Join us for an invigorating full-day outing from Cape Town along the unspoilt West Coast, taking in breathtaking beaches, azure Atlantic Ocean, pristine nature reserves and iconic wildlife! We visit the Buffelsfontein Game Reserve, embarking on a trademark Cycle Safari through the reserve, spotting zebra, giraffe, oryx as well as cheetah and lion (in separate fenced areas) and learning about the fauna and flora! A gourmet lunch is just reward for our efforts before we enjoy a guided cycle through the West Coast National Park, past shimmering lagoons, flamingos and an array of birdlife, antelope and in season (August-October) fields of wild flowers create a magical kaleidoscope of colour!
