Base 4 Aviation was founded by the Waterford Family Trust in 2001. The operation started with one helicopter, the Bell 407, and she is still in use today as the flagship craft in a fleet of 18 helicopters.Base 4 Aviation has since grown to be a market leader in the helicopter industry. We currently have operations in Angola, Durban, V&A Waterfront and Cape Town International Airport. The head office is situated at Cape Town International Airport, with hangar facilities that accommodate the majority of our machines, along with the Flight Academy and the AMO , which specialises in helicopter maintenance.Base 4 Helicopters is responsible for all charter- and contract-related work, assisting companies throughout Africa with vessel support, crew movement, security and more. The charter division in the V&A Waterfront, ExecHeli.com, specialises in scenic flights in and around Cape Town, one-day adventures in wine tasting at three wine estates in three regions, and cage-diving. It is simply the best way to see Cape Town.We can assist with airport and city transfers, and transfers to hotels in the Cape Winelands.
