Afruka Eco Tours is a tour company specialising in customized private tours and safaris which offer flexible itineraries and time schedules. We operate with a philosophy based around Responsible Tourism and the utilization of the environment in a sustainable manner. We want you to experience the essence of what makes Cape Town and the Western Cape a world renowned tourist destination.We respect that each of our clients has invested time and resources to come to Cape Town and that their expectations are to have an exceptional experience.We use one of our fleet of luxury air conditioned 4 x 4 vehicles on our tours. The vehicle and qualified guide are for the exclusive use of the person booking the tour. No frustrating delays waiting on other guests or going to other accommodation establishments to collect people in a mini-bus. Our groups are limited to a maximum of 4 people per 4 x 4 vehicle/guide, depending on the tour type. If your group is larger than 4 then we use one of our mini-buses. Table Mountain Overnight Hike

Nature and wildlife

This two day hiking adventure is an experience that offers you the opportunity to hike one of the world’s most iconic natural wonders and to be the only ones on top of the mountain that night. This guided hike is fully inclusive and all you have to take is your clothes, hiking gear and camera. We start the tour off with a short walk around the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens before heading up Skeleton Gorge to the top of the back table. This part of the walk is through one of the few remaining Afro-montane forests in the Cape. At the top we enjoy the pristine fynbos, which contains some plants unique to Table Mountain, and visit the Waterworks Railway Museum located next to one of the 5 reservoirs on top of the mountain. We then spend the night at the old Overseers Cottage, converted into wonderful accommodation by SANparks. We have a braai (barbecue) and a sundowner with spectacular views over the city and False Bay. The next morning we enjoy a hearty breakfast before heading northwards to join the Smuts Track up to McClears beacon. the highest point of the mountain at 1085mts. Then it is along the top of the front face with amazing views of the city bowl and Table Bay, with Robben Island in the distance. When we reach the upper cable station we will have our packed lunches, and have a tour around the top, before heading down on the Cable Car back to the base of the mountain.
