Standing tall in the centre of Cape Town lies Table Mountain, a natural wonder just waiting to be explored. Steeped in history and filled with an abundance of indigenous flora and fauna, this majestic mountain is best explored on foot. Mother City Hikers offers guided full- and half-day hikes along the many trails of Table Mountain and its neighbouring peak, Lions Head. Our certified mountain guides help to ensure a safe and memorable adventure while also sharing the rich history of South Africa’s most iconic landmark. Popular routes up the mountain include Skeleton Gorge, which starts at the beautiful Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, or India Venster up the face of Table Mountain. Lions Head is a popular shorter trip, but still offers a good climb and 360 degree views of the Mother City. More ‘off the beaten track’ hikes are available for the adventurous. Table Mountain offers numerous trails to suit all fitness levels, and we can tailor hikes to your time frame.
