The Vineyard Hotel & Spa - The Square Restaurant

Western Cape » Cape Town » Newlands

The Square is the Vineyard Hotel’s signature restaurant, with ambiance that shifts daily from easy breakfast to leisurely lunch and gourmet dinner. Seating up to 150, the venue’s glassed atrium covers a treed ground floor, with a sushi bar and breakfast buffet, and a semi private upstairs dining area.

Executive chef, Karl van Rooyen’s menus are highly varied and feature dishes from light, easy-eating meals to multi-course cuisine. Our popular breakfasts include an extensive buffet and to-order selection. A la carte lunch includes favourites like sirloin, curry, pasta, fresh-made sushi, more-ish desserts and our Kids’ Menu includes ‘fun’ food for young ones.

The Square is most well-known for its superb dinner menus which boast an extensive à la selection featuring the best of local meats, seafoods and produce and specialities handmade at the Hotel. Seasonal and themed menus are an especially unique feature of the Square – a chance to explore culinary adventures like our 5 course wine-paired set menus, which match gourmet delights with the latest and best from our multi award-winning wine listings.
