Pepenero's sumptuous bar area really raises the bar in terms of décor, ambience and service levels. Plush leather couches, marshmallow-soft armchairs and rich, dark woods evoke the luxury and timeless grace of an exclusive VIP lounge, or bush lodge.

All that stands between you and the finest liquors in Africa is a deep, cigar-coloured slab of exquisite granite propped up by a massive, gnarled chunk of aged driftwood. The outdoor area is equally well-appointed and airy - offering an array of comfy seating and reclining options.

With Pepenero's proud Italian heritage, its hardly surprising to find chilled Peroni on tap, as well as a host of fine Italian wines, aperitifs and liqueurs. Whisky is another specialty of the house - with a comprehensive single malt selection covering all ages, styles and districts.
