Fuji Yumi a traditional authentic Japanese Restaurant situated in the heart of the Cape Town nesting on the corner of Loop and Church Street.

Our restaurant specializes in a wide variety of both contemporary and traditional styled Japanese foods, known for its emphasis on the seasonality of food and quality of ingredients and presentation. We offer an extensive menu featuring dishes such as teriyaki, miso soup and a range of high quality sashimi and sushi. Recently the location of our restaurant has relocated from Cavendish Square to the newly contemporary space located in the CBD, this new space helped to re-vitalise the character and ambience of the restaurant. Today, Fuji Yumi caters for 80 covers offering great value lunches and buffets. The space and style reflects the characters of our Japanese chefs – personal and attentive, friendly but not over-familiar. All in all, restaurant offers many of the gastronomic luxuries of top Cape Towns restaurants in the gentle, relaxed surroundings of the CBD, much like Fuji Yumi’s sister restaurant Fujiyama.

Our restaurant also offers private rooms for special events, corporate dinners, birthday parties, private parties or private dining. Open from Monday to Friday for breakfast, lunch and supper (09h30-22h30) and Saturday for super only (16h30-22h30) with the exception of Sundays and public holidays. Whether you join us for romantic dining or a casual meal, we know you’ll love our restaurant.
