The Galley Seafood Restaurant
When you’re done dipping your feet into the crisp waters of Fish Hoek beach, dip a succulent piece of dusted calamari into a rich and tangy tartar sauce. The Galley restaurant sits just above the golden sandy beach where they’re serving up a seafood storm, making them a favourite in the area for many years.
The Galley offers the finest in seafood dining, with delicious hors d’oeuvres encompassing everything from fresh oysters to crayfish. For mains, there is an even wider selection of seafood and bistro meals on offer, from veal piccata to lobster bisque. Can’t decide what to eat? Just go for it and grab the seafood platter so you can taste a bit of everything.
While The Galley caters to more discerning guests, tourists and families, two side operations, the Beachcomber Bistro and The Drifters takeaway offer more relaxed experiences. Fish Hoek is about 40 minutes from Cape Town, but the protected blue flag beach and lush mountainous surrounds, as well as a host of Southern attractions, make it well worth the drive.
