The Freedom Park Trust
Freedom Park in Pretoria is a memorial that honours the individuals who sacrificed their lives in the fight for South African democracy. It celebrates the country’s diverse peoples and explores the rich dialogue of South African history through stories, performances, exhibits and architecture.
The Freedom Park complex is surrounded by a green belt known as the Garden of Remembrance, in which trees and soil from ceremonial sites in each of the provinces have been planted.
