SANParks: Augrabies Falls National Park
Listen to the mesmerizing thunder of the 56m high Augrabies Waterfall, for which the national park was named, as you take in the sight of lush surroundings. Augrabies Falls National Park stretches a whopping 55 383 hectares, split by the Orange River.
There are a number of birds, reptiles, zebra, springbok, gemsbok and giraffe that call this rocky region home, but the landscape is an attraction in itself. Areas such as Moon Rock, Ararat and Echo Corner beckon wanderlust and reignite the human need for exploration in nature.
