SANParks: Agulhas National Park

Agulhas National Park is a very special place and not only because it sits at the southernmost tip of Africa. Here, untouched coasts take you back to bygone days as endangered African Black Oystercatchers scuttle along the sand, and Southern Right Whales cruise past in the distant waves during June and November.

In this stretch of the legendary ‘Cape of Storms’, shipwrecks dot the coastline. Incredible hikes on the cliffs above lead to even more incredible oceanic vistas.

Of course, the Cape Agulhas Lighthouse is an absolute must for first time visitors.

  • See the southernmost tip of Africa
  • Southern Right Whale watching between June and November
  • Visit the famous Cape Agulhas Lighthouse for the most incredible 360° views
