Nitida Wine Cellars
It started out as a small farm with just a flock of 50 sheep, 2 cows and a sheepdog and now boasts one of South Africa's most successful boutique wine cellars, just 36km from Cape Town's city centre. The ingredients that have made the Nitida recipe so successful are a combination of passion for wine, the right skills in this family-run estate, a sense of pride in their humble beginnings and unwavering devotion to producing fine wine and a memorable experience.
Purchased by the family in 1990, the farm is now one of the most consistently awarded and loved boutique wine cellars in South Africa with a host of double gold, gold and silver medals, a few 5 star platters and countless awards and certificates, no mean feat for a cellar with just 11 permanent staff members.
The tasting room is open 7 days a week while the online shop can ship throughout South Africa and offers a fine selection of wines to choose from. Two restaurants on the farm, Cassia and Tables afford wonderful views and have menus that consist of seasonal, fresh, simple and delicious choices.
