Islamia College was originally founded in 1984 under the name Habiba Girls College, where it was run by a community-based board of directors in the storeroom of Habiba Masjid.
Over the years, the institute has grown to comprise a respected campus, with pre-primary and primary school, boys high school and girls high school, as well as a Hifth academy for Qur’anic studies.
Islamia College boasts over 1 600 students, many of whom excel in academa, sport, humanities and technology. Students are exposed and encouraged to take part in the college’s wide range of sports and extra mural activities, which include everything from badminton to Islamic art. However, it’s the distinctive values and a strong sense of community that sets Islamia College apart.
