Media accreditation application for Cape Town International Challenge (April 8 and 10) is open.
The under-20 soccer teams of Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa and Brazil will participate in the Cape Town International Challenge matches at Newlands Rugby Stadium on April 8 and Cape Town Stadium on April 10, 2010.
This is the first international event at the new Cape Town Stadium in Green Point and will test the new stadium at its full capacity at night, to prepare the city for the World Cup night matches.
To apply for media accreditation for the two match days at the two stadiums, please visit: http://www.capetown.gov.za/media_accred_ctic or copy this URL to your internet browser. Please note, there is a slight delay before the form downloads.
Deadline for media accreditation applications: Thursday, April 1, at 12h00. NO LATE APPLICATIONS can be accommodated.
Successful applicants will receive a confirmation email with logistical details by Tuesday afternoon on April 6.
Tickets went on sale on Friday March 26 and are expected to sell out fast. Capetonians who would like to see international football at its best are urged to buy tickets well in time for the Cape Town International Challenge.
This event will also offer those Cape Town football fans who could not obtain tickets for the 2010 FIFA World CupTM the opportunity to experience world-class football at its best and at an affordable price.
Tickets will cost R20 and R30 and will be available at Computicket or all Shoprite/Checkers outlets. The public is urged to purchase tickets early to avoid disappointment.
