Celebrate 200 days till kick-off with a diski dance

22 November marks 200 days until the 2010 FIFA World Cup kicks off. Cape Tourism invites you to Live It! Love It! LOUDER! and celebrate this milestone by learning the famous Diski Dance at the Amphitheatre of the V&A Waterfront on Sunday, 22 November.

Free dancing lessons commence at 14h00 and all aspirant dancers will have half an hour in which to prove themselves as the best Diski Dancers and win funky Cape Town fan kits.

At 14h30, quintessential Cape Town music act, CODA, will take to the stage and entertain the crowds with their distinctive, upbeat African sound.  Chad Saaiman, a leading Cape Town performing artist, will draw the event to what will surely be a reluctant close with his fusion of Soul, R’nB and Funk.

What better way to get into the Cape Town soccer spirit than learning South Africa’s official 2010 FIFA World Cup Diski Dance, watching great performances and winning fabulous Cape Town gear!

Attendance is free. For more information call Cape Town Tourism on 021 487 6800 or visit http://www.capetown.travel and click on the “200 Days Until Kick Off” blog.
