Cape Town Tourism partners with Thompsons holidays to package winter events

Cape Town Tourism has partnered with Thompsons Holidays to create travel packages for upcoming sporting events in Cape Town. The city will see English Premier League football team, Manchester United, go head to head with Ajax Cape Town at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday, 21 July 2012, and on August 18 Capetonians can see the Springboks take on Argentina at Newlands Stadium in the Castle Rugby Championship Tour.

Soccer fans can choose either a self-drive or fly-in deal from Johannesburg, Durban or Port Elizabeth, which includes reserved match tickets, two nights’ accommodation at the Protea Hotel Victoria Junction, return flights and three-day car hire.

Packages start at R1 946 per person sharing for self-drive (excluding flights and car hire), while R4 714 per person sharing is the cost of the fly-in option.

The Castle Rugby Championship Tour packages start at R4 063 per person sharing self-drive (excluding flights and car hire), while R5 999 per person sharing is the cost of the fly-in deal.

Package deals include return flights from Lanseria, two days car rental, two nights’ accommodation at Devon Valley Hotel on a bed and breakfast basis, match transfers, a Pre Match Hospitality package and a reserved test match ticket for the game.
